On the NCCRS website, Study.com's Classroom Management is listed as Upper Level credit. There are also a few other differences between ACE and NCCRS as far as Study.com goes. There could potentiality be a few more UL credits if you go by NCCRS.

Wow, I had no idea Study.com had NCCRS approval, I thought it was just ACE. Seems unnecessary to have both, but perhaps helpful in situations like these that you found.

Yes, I definitely don't understand why they have both. Unless it is maybe more for advertising? I have a feeling Excelsior will go by ACE recommendations. But there are a lot of other NCCRS cooperating colleges & universities, maybe they will take the upper level credit. I also noticed they had some classes as 1 credit, ACE has them all at 3.

I think most schools have their own equivalency lists and don't care what ACE or NCCRS says about UL/LL recommendations, however, NCCRS is usually *free* to transfer to your school, since there's no central clearinghouse, so you can save a little money by using it instead of paying for an ACE transcript.

Excelsior says they will go directly from what ACE/ NCCRS give as credit recommendations (effective September 1, 2016), so this might be a good source for some upper levels at Excelsior.
I am still confused about this though:
Credit recommendation: In the lower division baccalaureate/associate degree category or upper division baccalaureate degree category, 3 semester hours in Introduction to International Business (10/16).
Why not just make it upper level?
BA, MA, EdS, MMT, etc.

There is also something that says "associate/certificate" instead of "baccalaureate/associate degree category." Not sure if associate/certificate credits can be used for bachelor degrees.

To me that sounds like "freshman level only," but to each university its own.
BA, MA, EdS, MMT, etc.

The list seems to be growing. Last time I looked there were only business courses approved. Maybe we'll see some new ones soon, that are not yet approved by either ACE or NCCRS. I like the option to have a score report sent to TESU instead of using ACE as I like to send transcripts as I finish a course and that can get a little pricey with ACE.

Hey everyone-
We currently have 16 business courses recommended for credit by NCCRS and are working to provide more in the near future. We wanted to give students more options and access to a larger network of schools! If anyone has questions about confusing recommendations, we are happy to work with you to resolve them .
