I agree with Jennifer!
Proove that homeschoolers are not slackers! Get a degree! Being done with college at 17 might motivate others (or prove that you're better than them) because most people start college at 18!
You know you can do it. You know you want to.
Only two tests left. You can get this done before you're 17! You can be done with college at 16.... Does that thought not make you happy?
Press on. Prove to me that I should be motivated, as well. I just started, haven't taken any exams yet, and I'm 16. Show me that I WILL eventually get a degree and be done with school.
Motivate yourself by buying some candy at the end of your tests or something.
Keep going. You can do it.

When I was thinking..and thinking...and thinking...about taking my first test, I just couln't sit down and study one subject. I kept changing my mind about which exam to take. I finally called the test center to get info about how to schedule an exam and the lady said, "Are you ready to set a date now?" I hesitated a moment and then told her....Yes. So there I had it, I had a test to study for. I scheduled on a Weds. and took the test on Tuesday. Can't procrastinate if you got a deadline looming.

Hey Farmerboy,
Just schedule the two remaining exams, that alone should get you motivated enough to study for them. I was pretty much in the same situation but finally I summoned enough courage to schedule my remaining seven exams and guess what I am now down to two. I scheduled them a week or so apart (from July 5 to August 20) so I am studying for one each week...
You can do it!

I am exactly in same boat like FrmerBoy, only difference is more tests and almost double to his age.
Well I am ashamed & reluctant to write this as grown person, but still here you go...
Did not know, what's CLEP few weeks back....
Now I have to take 6-7 exam, but can't study. I don't know whats wrong with me. Whenever I want to study I come up with excuse, like Job-Family-kid etc. In reality I know its BS, I just can't concentrate. Thinking of early morning or late night study, but still cant figure out how & when to study. When I was student I never had this problem. All I need few more credits to complete my BS from Thomas Edison. I know it is very important. I have plan to go for CPA next year, but then I think if i can't finish CLEP and few TESC exams, How will I pass CPA exams? I don't think subjects which I am taking is hard, I have good knowledge of business/finance due to work experience... so I know its not hard, but whenever I start to read... I feel I can't remember this. Damm it whats wrong with me? As grown matured person, I should know what is good for me... but still feel like i will not able to do this. I just don't know how people with responsibility in life can do their Masters? Strong mind? Discipline? Anyone was just like me and came out of it? Its sitting on my head and I feel guilty... but yes I just feel guilty , but can't do anything. My wife says you don't know how to study! Is any web source available for study tip/time table etc? Guide me please.
TIA

Do you want to say I had my degree after my 17th Birthday or I had my degree BEFORE my 17th Birthday. Think of what a gift this is for your parents. 17 years ago they did not know what to expect, but they put their all into you, NOW is your turn to prove they did the right thing. Set those test dates and get it done.
Wallst I was in your place a few months ago, I had taken one course and had a very busy couple of months. So I just wanted to sit back and relax for a while, but I only needed 3 test to get my AA which I had started working on 35 years ago. Well with help and encouragement from my online friends I did it. I can not tell you how wonderful it feels to say I am now a college graduate Finally!! After I finished my AA I decided to go on for my BA, but first I have rewarded myself for this and other life goals by taking a month off in Vermont. It has been the best thing I have ever done. The bills are tight, but I will work extra hard next month to fix that. I could not have enjoyed this time, relaxed, reconnected with friends(some of over 30 years) and read and learned so much if I had not finished my AA first. So as said above JUST DO IT!! Set some exam dates, just sit infront of your study material for 1 hour a night to start, even if you don't study at first it will come if you make yourself sit there. Good Luck and just remember the good feelings when you are done are well worth all the work.

I know exactly how you feel. I started my college career in 1976. Yeah, pathetic isn't it. Now I am not going to allow myself to quit. I am a procrastinator and I put everyone else's needs before mine. I won't bore you with the details but it is easy to set aside my books to spend time with my grandchildren and/or children. I am working hard to "just do it." In addition to my advice above to schedule a test and then get to studying, make small goals for yourself. Otherwise it is a daunting project to consider. Look at it one class at a time and go from there. I don't know how to study either. I go thru the IC flashcards first, then supplementary information, then pre tests.
I just make notes and then notes of the first notes until I have at least enough memorized to pass the exam. Yeah, listen to me, the old sage, that has passed all of one exam. Let me get off my teeny little soapbox and defer to the veterans.
