Snhu bachelor degree tuition
#1
For the first time, I posted on this forum as a foreigner.I was expecting to do a master's degree in Japan or Canada, so a university with a ranking was important to me and SNHU offered the major I needed.     I want to enroll as a full-time student at SNHU, I am not an American and no employer pays for my tuition so I have to complete my degree by saving money, I want to pay my tuition every semester without affecting my job, is this feasible at SNHU? Or did I have to pay $9,600 in one lump sum, delaying my payment for my degree.    Looking forward to having a friendly conversation with someone who has used SNHU to find my answer, because the admissions counselors are really not helpful Smile Big Grin
I'm not really familiar with forum posts, the format seems to be completely wrong . But I really need your advice

With SNHU, you will pay for your courses as you take them. You cannot take them all at once and you must complete them over multiple semesters.

In order to get a SNHU degree for the low $10000 price, you need to transfer in credit from elsewhere. Have you already started accumulating credit? Do you need a degree plan?
In progress:
TESU - BA Computer Science; BSBA CIS; ASNSM Math & CS; ASBA

Completed:
Pierpont - AAS BOG
Sophia (so many), The Institutes (old), Study.com (5 courses)
ASU: Human Origins, Astronomy, Intro Health & Wellness, Western Civilization, Computer Appls & Info Technology, Intro Programming
Strayer: CIS175, CIS111, WRK100, MAT210

Thank you for your kind reply .
I thought I would follow the plan already in place to complete the degree and use alternative credits as soon as possible.
So is my plan to pay tuition once a semester and pay in four installments feasible?
I think I'll stick to the plan I already have to use unlimited alternative credits, and I'm accumulating as many ACE credits as I can and look forward to earning my college degree next year.

Yes, SNHU limits students to taking 2 or 3 classes at a time. If financial limitations meant you could only take one class at a time, it would take more time, but this would be allowed. If you do not mind taking longer than usual to graduate, I think you can even skip semesters if you need time to save more money.

Whatever pace you choose, the important thing is to continue steadily! You'll get your degree eventually, as long as you keep going. Smile

@Eric Clapton, Welcome to the board, great introduction post, but it's missing a few things as you've not completed the template/last post addendum here: https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-...Area-works What SNHU degree are you looking at? Do you have any prior international credits?

For all students, regardless of where you are located, for SNHU, you can transfer up to a max of 75% towards their degree. You can have your international credits evaluated, or if you're starting from scratch, accumulate all the ACE credit in the degree plans available on the WIKI. When taking courses at any university, you generally pay by credits you take per semester/term unless otherwise indicated.

Thanks for the helpful advice
I think you are right.
I should add more information and write it out methodically to get an accurate response.
I will use the template in the new post to detail my situation later.
I'm planning to remove this post but don't know how to do it
Wink
I will organize my thoughts after the workday and make sure to list my thoughts and plans as much as possible.

It's all good, we usually don't delete threads/post, unless it contains spam or if it contains personal info (in which case we just edit the info out, or remove the attachment that has the info). It's best to create the template/addendum and add it to the next post reply if you want to continue using this thread. You can always create a new thread if you want...

You definitely need a degree plan, because you're going to need to transfer in every possible credit that you can to minimize the amount you spend at SNHU. Even then, i don't think all degrees allow for 90cr transfer, so you probably want to tell us what degree you're getting to see if yours is one of them where this is possible.
