I must be dumb then. LOL. No way could I do one of these by actually reading the material in just a few hours. Perhaps because the lit courses are more subjective. Also rlw when did you take these courses? I didn’t find any broken links. I was watching for them in Holocaust Lit particularly but never found any. Perhaps since some people have reviewed these from a year ago Shmoop has revised some of the courses?

Keep in mind that the speed of getting through a course has a lot to do with how much pre-knowledge of the subject you have. The more new material you're learning, the longer courses will take.
As for broken links, I ran into broken links on the first course I looked at with Shmoop, and that was just a couple weeks ago. So they still exist, I'm sure it depends on the course.

Lit is different (except Bible Lit).

I am taking Shakespearea's Plays on Shmoop currently. I am familiar with Othello, but scored a 55% on Exam 2. I rubbed my eyes, expecting to see a 95%. Don't get too discouraged even when it's frustrating at times!

Ha! I did the SAME thing on the exact same course that I'm working on now! **sigh** I'm half tempted to watch the plays on youtube or SOMETHING! Maybe I'll hire a tutor!?

Anyway, I decided to take a few days off and rest up. I've been knocking out a few courses a week for a few months now. My brain must be overloading!?
And I am still experiencing broken links on every course w/ Shmoop. It's just something you get used to. LOL
Focus on the prize and keep on truckin'.
