Hello All,
I am trying to find graduate programs that are largely or entirely composed of self-paced courses. I don't want a CBE program where you pay a flat fee and complete as many courses as possible during the subscription period, but rather a program where you pay by the course and have a set period of time to complete the requirements with freedom to complete the requirements on your schedule. Basically, looking for the graduate-level equivalent of CLEP or something like BYU's independent study that is offered by a university or with formal credit-transfer agreements in place.
I have been thinking about Central Missouri's MS in Career and Technical Education, which allows students to complete up to 15 credits worth of courses on the CTE Learn platform. CTE Learn charges a flat fee of $295 per year for as many courses as you want to take and then there is a fee to transfer them to Central Missouri. Not totally what I am looking for, but pretty close.
I am specifically interested in business and education degrees.
Master of Accountancy (taxation concentration), University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, in progress.
Master of Business Administration (financial planning specialization), University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, in progress.
BA, UMPI. Accounting major; Business Administration major/Management & Leadership concentration. Awarded Dec. 2021.
In-person/B&M: BA (history, archaeology)
In-person/B&M: MA (American history)
Sophia: 15 courses (42hrs)

There will often be limitations to self-pacing like minimum and maximum course or program enrollment periods, but you might check out
Heriot-Watt University Edinburgh Business School MBA and MSc programs
California Coast University MBA, MA, MS, MEd, and EdD programs (not RA, NA DEAC)
Harrison Middleton University MA, DA, and EdD programs (not RA, NA DEAC)
City St George's, University of London MSc in Computer Science
Also, in the list of CBE programs on the DegreeForum Wiki, check out the list of competency-based programs with per-credit pricing at the bottom, though I think these typically set a fixed term length for each course.
Also though far from your subject interest, the NationsUniversity MTS, MDiv, and graduate certificate (not RA, NA DEAC).

The Heriot-Watt link actually takes you to the CCU page also listed. This should work: https://www.hw.ac.uk/ebs/search/programm...programmes

Just curious, what's the fee to transfer them to Central Missouri?

$125 per credit. So, max transfer cost would be $298 + 15 x $125 = $2,173.
You need 15 credits worth of courses at CMU. CMU’s online graduate tuition is $445/credit, so that’s $445 x 15 =$6,675.00.
So, it would be $2,173 + $6,675 = $8,848.00 for the whole degree. There may be some university fees on those 15 credits; I haven’t reached out to the university to get last word on that.
