Are there any self-paced RA credits for English Literature?
My daughter just needs one course in English Lit to graduate with her Associates degree. The school she attends is not offering it in the fall semester. She already talked to the advisor and dean and they rejected alternative credit options. She would really like the course to be self-paced. The only schools we have found that have true self-paced courses seem to have flat tuition rates that are way more expensive than just waiting til Spring and taking it at the college she attends. But, the downside is that she won't be able to finish the degree she wants as quickly.

How much is the local school? It may be hard to beat that. BYU has a few self-paced independent study literature courses.

There's a CLEP, but if they won't take that...
Self-paced
U of Idaho IS is $160/cr, they have a general Lit course, as well as Am Lit I & II
CSU Pueblo IS is $215/cr, they have Intro to Lit
BYU-IS is $$225/cr, they have a bunch of Lit courses both LL & UL.
Not self-paced
RioSalado has an English Lit (and additional ones like American Lit I & II, Mythology) - $750, with starts every Monday, 8-week courses
University of GA system has eCore - courses are $199/cr, they have World Lit I & II, and Am Lit I & II

@rlw74, have you searched your state community colleges for possible courses offered through them? I would do that first then search other nearby state colleges as some border counties may offer favorable tuition rates. Also there may be something in the WIKI here:
