Seeking a grad school
#1
Hello all,
I am back here to seek your guidance.
Last year I was able to finish my BLS with the support of this forum. Thanks to all of you who contributed to my accomplishment.
I am now seeking a master degree program.
I would like a program that is closer to my current job.
I am a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant currently working for school district in California.
The ideal program need to be flexible and cheap.
I am open for any therapy, counseling degree, education. since seeking an Occupational Therapy masters degree is very expensive, I am looking for something similar that will allow career growth.
I am also open for foreign schools (I can speak/read French and Arabic)
Thank you

Congrats on finishing your Bachelors at UMPI!  That's awesome you're trying to continue on another educational journey!  Hmm, you can take a look at Kairos University and their accreditation to see which programs you're interested in, here are two Masters they currently have available that might fit your needs and a post about licensure.  The tuition is pretty affordable to boot as well, see below...

Accreditation: https://kairos.edu/about/accreditation/
Tuition: https://kairos.edu/tuition/
Counseling: https://kairos.edu/academics/programs/ma...ounseling/
Marriage & Family Therapy: https://kairos.edu/academics/programs/ma...y-therapy/

You're very welcome!  Basically, You want to check out CSU's accreditation and tuition before you make a choice, keep your options open as you mentioned in your initial post and check out the costs, energy, time, and so on for you to finish the degree and get the required licensing requirements (if any).

Recap: You mentioned cheap, flexible, foreign schools, and you're open to different fields that allow for career growth.  If you like Management or Organizational Leadership, complete the UMPI MAOL or WGU MSML.  Another option - You can go for a Walden MS Psychology Tempo CBE degree and be done with it if you wanted.

CSU doesn't have any programs that have licensure except their Addictions offerings
I think the CSU program offerings are OK, it may take equally as long, but they're more than twice as expensive.

The reason I linked you to Kairos is that, with a degree from them, there routes for California licensing by following their requirements, examples are the Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and the Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.  The cost is just $9600 if you can finish in 24 months for the degree, plus additional exams/requirements.
