Anyone Take Saylor Chemistry

Has anyone taken the new chemistry for ACE Credit through Saylor?

I'm interested in taking it but would like to know first how it will transfer before I pay the $25. Heard from Saylor that they're working out the equivalencies with TESC and will post it up once it's confirmed. Am still waiting... Smile

Once you pay the $25.00 and passed the ACE Proctored final, then send your score to ACE. Only 2 courses so far are ACE credited.

Yes, but other courses are NCCRS and eligible for credit.

I thought the aligned courses prepped for TECEPS...is that right or wrong?

I'm always happy to complete the free application waiver for those applying to WGU (I get a free gift from WGU for this).  Just PM me your first/last name and a valid email so I can complete their form.

Some of the course are eligible for credit via NCCRS or ACE. Others won't earn credit by themselves, but are intended as preparation for a credit-by-exam. There are courses intended as preparation for TECEPs, but others for other exams including CLEPs and UExcels.

I plan on doing it in the future, I enjoy doing Saylor courses, right now i'm working on Principles of Marketing and have completed 4 units. I went through the Biology 101A course before they got ACE recommendation and enjoyed it.

I am trying to use Saylor as much as possible, there are a lot of credits to be had, and if you are going with TESC the alignment to TECEPS is a huge help when considering the tuition plans.

24 credits for NCCRS courses - only $25 for each proctored exam, or free if you have a proctor.
6 ACE credits - again $25 for each exam
18 TECEP credits - $100 per exam

Also interesting (and i'm hoping this is a good sign) is the amount of courses now listed on ProctorU for Saylor.

There are 12 Business (7 upper level) and 16 computer science (12 upper level) courses listed, it would be amazing if credit becomes available for all these Saylor courses.

Anyone know how close the Un-Proctored Final is to the Proctored Final exams? can you use the quizzes and un-proctored final to help with Proctor-U final?

The un-proctored final is easier than the proctored final. The proctored final deals with application of concepts and really makes you think, whereas the un-proctored exam was relatively easy and utilized memorization. Study up for sure.
2015: TESC - BSBA in General Management - In Progress (expected completion early 2015)

2010: A Couple Community Colleges - 57 LL hours transferred (3.96 cumulative GPA)

2006-2008: A Couple Big State Schools - 30 hours withdrawn "W" and 6 hours transferred (3.66 cumulative GPA)

GMAT to be taken December 2014

Yeah, I'm all over the place. Bring on the TESECs!
