Got word today that Saylor Academy is expanding their course catalog with several new courses that will be ACE evaluated and running by summer.
Saylor.org
Saylor exams, if you can pass them, cost only $25 (proctor fee) and are worth about 3 credits each. The exams are considered by almost everyone to be quite hard, even for 100 and 200 level courses.

I wouldn't say that their exams are particularly hard, I think they are much easier than corresponding CLEPs or TECEPs, for example. it's that their course contents can be disorganized and scattered, making it hard or slow to prepare for their exams.
NanoDegree: Intro to Self-Driving Cars (2019)
Coursera: Stanford Machine Learning (2019)
TESU: BA in Comp Sci (2016)
TECEP:Env Ethics (2015); TESU PLA:Software Eng, Computer Arch, C++, Advanced C++, Data Struct (2015); TESU Courses:Capstone, Database Mngmnt Sys, Op Sys, Artificial Intel, Discrete Math, Intro to Portfolio Dev, Intro PLA (2014-16); DSST:Anthro, Pers Fin, Astronomy (2014); CLEP:Intro to Soc (2014); Saylor.org:Intro to Computers (2014); CC: 69 units (1980-88)

And, their IT tests are out of date.

The Saylor courses reminded me of Patten University courses, in that the material provided felt incomplete in preparation for the final exams. Despite the feeling, the exams are very passable, if you put enough time in prior to final. My 18-year-old has knocked out 8 courses x $25 so far at a total credit/cost of 24/$150 - she's pretty proud of this and lets me know how much she's hooking me up with this savings performance
Great to hear that Saylor is adding additional courses. It would be nice to have some additional options in UL Math & UL Psychology but heck, UL anything would be welcomed.

And can we not have more of the SAME courses already offered in a million other ways? Nothing already covered by CLEP, DSST, or SL would be a good start.

I'm wondering what courses are offered as well, hopefully, they're hard to find courses.
Such as Accounting II, Non-Western Lit, more Comp Sci courses and the list goes on!
Anyways, I'll be eagerly waiting for more info and details on these course offerings.

If they share that with me, I'll pass it along!
