That's because you're looking for tuition for the entire program. If you're going with the Big 3, you take everything elsewhere but the cornerstone/capstone or anything that's not transferable or allowed to be transferred. For associates degrees or even bachelors, most schools only enter in the degree on the parchment.
I think they just enter in the entire name " Associates of Science", without the concentration.
Only your transcript and other information on school records will indicate the concentration.

If that's the case, you can just take the Associates of Science, and do a few CS or IT courses.
So, as I usually tell people, if it doesn't really matter what is entered into the parchment, you're done.
You just need to inform prospective employers that you have studied "X,Y,Z for your science degree"

With the extra cash, I'll spend it on CS/IT certifications that's more recognized than just an AS.

I really don't plan to ever get a Bachelor's degree.

Just wanted to pop in and present an opinion here.

A degree can be looked at as a key to jobs. Nobody cares if it is a fancy key or one carved out of a potato, as long as it unlocks that job. Right?

But

here's the thing - a degree is also an investment. Would you want something now that can't be used as a jumping off point for later? Example: a friend of mine got a two year degree from ITT Tech in communications something something (I forget).

Fast forward ten-ish years. He wants to be the supervisor, but they want a bachelors minimum. He can't use his ITT degree at any of the colleges he's talked to as the basis for his run at a four year degree. He is going to have to go back and do a lot of core courses he wouldn't have had he had a credential that had transferability.

All I am saying is that one of the few things I've learned is that most of the time, more options is mo bettah. I'm not passing any judgment on UoP, but I am saying if money is no issue as you say, get more return on your investment without working any harder.
