SL Intro to C++ transfer as 3cr not 4cr?

In the past SL Intro to C++ did not show on SL's TESU transfer equivalencies list. I know because I have looked for it several times. Today I noticed that it is on there, but it only shows as transferring as 3cr COS213, yet it is a 4cr class at SL. Has it always transferred as 3CR?
I'm getting worried because my son is in the process of transferring to TESU from Hodges and all of Hodges classes are 4cr. Will they only count at TESU as 3cr? We have to leave Hodges because the UPower program is shutting down and in order for him to stay, he has to start a new 6mo term immediately following the one he is in now, ending 3/31. This was never our plan. He was planning on starting a second term in August and it is not an option financially to renew right now.

Normally they follow ACE recommendation, which is 4cr in this case. This one could be a typo, or there could be some other issue.

And when transferring from other schools, they give the same number of credits as the school gave. I have a couple of 4cr courses that I transferred from CC just fine.

I would apply to TESU and see what they do. I'm going to guess that his coursework will come over as 4cr just as they are on his Hodges transcript. But if not, you can always switch to COSC or EC, or WGU instead. But I think you'll be fine.

OK, thank-you. He has already applied, been accepted and had his transcripts sent. We had a slight delay because he isn't 21. They received all of the transcripts a week ago except CSU is holding him up. Don't know what the problem is but their transcript has been pending since 1/27. Still working at actually talking to a person about the problem. A little frustrating because the "20 days for evaluation" doesn't start until they receive ALL of the transcripts.

I took SL C++ back in November and it transferred into TESU just fine with 4 credits. With the CSU global exam, it took a little over a week after I ordered my transcript for it to be sent (which was about two weeks after I took my exam, then it took another week for TESU to receive the transcript).

Thanks, TacticalTechie. We finally got through to a person. His transcript with 3 programming classes was stuck in a loop. (haha, pun intended). They did something and it went from pending to delivered within an hour. Funny thing though, I looked at his evaluation, and a class he had asked about what it would transfer to from Hodges is sitting in his eval all by itself as IP. He was clear in the e-mail that it was a 4cr class from Hodges and they show it as 3cr in the eval. CIS320 System Analysis and Design. Maybe it would be different if it was an actual transcript.
