I called in after getting an email for congratulating me on finishing my course and at the bottom saying I'd save $50 on my next course. The email didn't contain a code, so I called in and the rep said it happens and gave me a code thats good for $59 and said it'll work til the end of the month -- Mike1

Thanks for this! I just tried the code-
MIKE1 will work on any course as long as you have membership in your cart or is active. I tried to buy a course w/o membership (denied) and then only a membership (denied).
It's always a guessing game with SL to figure out the parameters of a code, so just sharing for those interested.

There's some inconsistency here, but I received the following email today. It says the code is good for a free course, but then it says it's good for $25 off. I'm done with Straighterline so I don't know who might want to try and see if it's actually a free course.
"As a special thanks, we would like to offer you a free course. Use promo code SPECIALTHANKS at checkout*. Find a course and continue with StraighterLine:
*This offer expires on 9/30/17. $25 will be taken off the total price of the cart. Minimum of one course required in cart. This promotion cannot be combined with other offers."

I went through their list to double check that they didn't have any courses for $25 (they don't) I tested the code and it worked as -$25 with membership in my cart.

Yeah, the two courses that were $25, was the Intro to Statistics and also Microbiology courses.
They still kept the partnership with Saylor by using their resources I think, but they bumped the pricing way up.
I think they changed their Statistics from using Saylor to Acrobatiq, and lowered the weight of the final.
