Guys, I am trying to find a good alternative to fulfill my operations management requirement at Excelsior. I was checking CSU and seems like they now require a proctor for the class. Can anybody help me? thank you very much!

I'm in the same boat, trying to figure out what I will do. The Thomas Edison Exam is an alternative, but it seems those are proctored. It's $99, that's a plus. I sure hope you get a lot of good suggestions here!!!

Loren, we are looking for a class or exam that will fulfill the specific Excelsior College requirement. It seems there are not many options out there - if you don't want to take a traditional college class. I'm looking for fast and cheap. I will ask if they charge a fee to proctor at my library, since that seems to be an option.

Hello - I just passed the Thomas Edison Operations Management TECEP (last month). Pros and cons:
Pros:
It is a great deal at $99
No separate proctor fee - I just had to call my local library, get their info, send that info on a form to Thomas Edison, then set up the time at the library.
They allow plenty of time to take the test.
Cons:
Dealing with the staff and website at Thomas Edison was a real hassle. Their website (at least for exam-takers from other schools that are not registered there) is not user-friendly.
You won't know if you passed right away. I received my noticed in just under three weeks. And it only says "Pass" or "Fail"; no score, and even though they said I could find my score on their website, I never have been able to find it on there.
It is a tough test; I studied for a long time and it was still tough. Lots of info to know. Obviously it's still passable tho.
If I had to do it over, I would still gt credit for it with this exam - lots better on the wallet!
Hope this helps.
