SDC Flashcards
#1
I just started the biology 101L on SDC and it shows that there a flashcards, where can I access them? I am going to STRUGGLE with this and I need all the help I can get. Its on the right hand side. It says 23 chapters | 148 lessons | 12 flashcard sets.
Also, any insight about the lab part would be appreciated as well. Thanks.

NVM! I found it...its at the end of all the other lessons... Smile

Awesome, glad you found them. Make sure that you get 100% on the quizzes in the first 3 attempts. If you do that and get 80% on the lab, which sounds pretty easy to do, then you only need to score 31% on the final exam to pass the course. You've got this.

In the SDC classes I took, I think the flash cards were after the last lesson. But honestly, I didn't find them terribly helpful the way SDC did them. I've had better luck with Quizlet, which allows you to do quizzes and match games and other things to learn the material.

Also, for the record, I got through about the first 6 SDC biology 101 lessons and went "screw this. I can do without." Smile Fortunately, my major and graduate plans don't require biology.

Yeah I didn't realize they reviewed the answers and I got one or two quizzes that don't have 100% but I have been getting 100 since then. I'm on chapter 5 so I still have plenty to do. I am curious how hard the lab is? Like what is all involved. I literally don't understand anything in this class so its a struggle to keep at it because it doesn't make sense and its like they're speaking in a foreign language.

I do use quizlet as well. Unfortunately, I need this class for UMPI :/ Which I think is dumb considering I am a business major...nothing to do with science or biology. I don't agree with universities requiring all these extra classes that have nothing to do with what you are graduating with.

Is there something you find especially difficult? Perhaps Khan Academy's HS biology would help? https://www.khanacademy.org/science/hs-biology I haven't taken this course myself so I can't offer any more specific help.

I am bad at science. Nothing about it makes sense. The words are hard to remember because of spelling and pronunciation which makes it basically impossible to remember what they mean and what they are. Its not one thing: its the entire subject. I'm not a science major for a reason :|

It doesnt matter. I'll do what I can and hope I pass

That makes sense. I'm a language nerd, so science terms aren't as terrible to me but I can understand how they can be difficult for others.
