Hello all,
If have taken SDC's Database Management - could you please let me know which free SQL database program did you use for your final assignment? They list freesqldatabase.com, but I have been waiting 3 days for them to send me a link to register. I even tried it with 2 different emails.....If you know of a free sql database site, please let me know.

This is a classic case of not following instructions for the assignments. Please re-read the section where it literally tells you how to setup the database and what/where to use the database. You just need to do all 14 prompts, I did this in April of this year, it's pretty straight forward already. You just signup to the website you have in your original post and that would be your "assignment test database". Just like the quizzes and final exam, you're the one who starts the process and decide when you want to do them, you initiate the assignments yourself, you don't wait for anyone to tell you when to start them. Just make sure to FINISH in 30 days! Heck, I'll even copy and paste what it says:
Setting up the Database/Preparing for this Project
In order to carry out this project it will be necessary for you to set up your access to a database system. The following instructions will explain how to do this. You will be using web-based database server that will allow you to use a database and see the results of entering SQL statements. A trial account can be created on this system that you will be able to use for this project.
There are websites that will provide you with short term free access to a MySQL server and client of your own. The name of the web site that is recommended for this exercise is FREESQLDATABASE.com. You can create a 30-day trial account which is free. This exercise should not require more than 30 days to complete.
Open a browser and go to FREESQLDATABASE.com. Signup for a free account. On your home page, there is a button to 'Start New Database' in the section 'Database Details.' Click that button and the site will generate a database and email you credentials. Once you receive your database information (server, username, and password), click on the link on the page that takes you to phpmysqladmin and sign onto your database.

You have been so helpful to me in this journey so I'm going to keep it cool. This is not a "classic example of not following instructions" I follow instructions quite well, shoot, I made it back safe and sound from 3 deployments....so yes, I do follow instructions. Anyways, I really appreciate all your guidance and answers you have provided to many of my inquiries......
Back to my inquiry, I have been trying to go through the FREESQLDATABASE.COM, but I have been waiting for 3 days for them to send me the link so I can activate my account. I even tried two different email addresses. YES, I tried to email them but somehow the email does not work. I searched for a phone number, but i did not find one. This is why I asked the forum, maybe one of you used a different free SQL hosting.
Happy New Year.........I have the most gratitude for all your help.......Thanks to your input, I will graduate with a BSBA with 2 AOS's.....very soon

I also couldn't get that website to work because they never emailed my activation code. I ended up using a different website, but I can't remember what. They probably haven't seen your email because of the holidays in this case.
Type 'free SQL database' into Google and start clicking through the top results until you find one that works.

The freesqldatabase.com site has been wonky for a long time. They stopped taking new accounts at all for a while. That said, you don't have to use their site. I ran into the same issue and ended up using a different SQL provider (db4free.net) instead. I don't know if they are still around since I completed this course in 2018 when it first launched, but they run the same type of setup... just using a faster server and a more current release of the software.
You shouldn't have any problem finding a free SQL provider with a quick web search. Alternatively, it wouldn't be hard to set up your own SQL server test environment. If you don't have a Linux box sitting around, you can always spin up a Linux VM pretty easily and use that to install the software and get the work done.
In the document I submitted for the class, I just mentioned that I was using a different provider at the beginning so they would know what was going on in case there was something slightly different in the SQL output window. Either way, I didn't have any issues with the submission (I got max credit as I recall) so your choice of SQL provider shouldn't matter.

SQL Server has two free versions - Developer Edition and Express edition. You can find them by googling "SQL Server Developer Edition" On the download page you'll have to scroll down to find those free versions for download.
Good luck!

Update 01/08/2020: So after trying several free SQL database websites I came across DB4FREE.NET and was able to complete my study.com database final project. The site is abit slow, but I was able to complete my project in one afternoon. Thanks for your suggestions.

Yeah, db4free.net is the one I used as well and I posted about in my earlier response. When I used it, it was much faster than the alternatives and was running a newer version of the db server and front end software than the others. I assume it is loaded with people using it now.
Congrats on completing the course!
