I don't plan to program. I'm actually trying to get the degree to one day get a Fed job and to cross train in the military. Like I said I think AMU offers a Python class, but there courses are 750 compared to 215 from Rio Salado. I guess I could always go back and take the Python course. Rio Salado also offers C+ I think and I might actually look into it also.

There is a Python edX class that you could get credit via COSC. You'd have to pay for a verified certificate before the midterm is released, which is any day now. Then it's another $300 once you pass the class.
Foothill College in California has low non-resident rates if you are taking less than 6.5 quarter credits. They have online Python classes. You'd have to email the professor for an add code since it's the first week of school.
I like AMU, but I wouldn't go there for a lower level course that's commonly available at community colleges online.

Thanks for this info. I'm curious to know also if TESU will accept Fundamentals of Programming from the Rio class? I'll email them tomorrow and see what they say. While I want to eventually take Python, this late in the semester I don't want to be rushed getting enrolled somewhere, sending them transcripts, and all that. However thanks for the info on the CC in California.

If you just want to learn python for yourself, I'd suggest a udemy course. I think i bought a good python one for $20. Worth every penny. I'd just take a cheap one that gives you the credit you need based on your goal.
Currently studying for: Still deciding.

Intro to Computer Programming is two credits, and the recommendation is expired. Intro to Programming is three credits, and the recommendation doesn't expire until February 2017. TESU will not accept the edX courses through COSC. I asked about two weeks ago.

I'm guessing the course appears as an external credit like CLEP and that pretty much makes it impossible to transfer to any other school in the country. That means nobody other than COSC degree seekers should waste time and money on the edX courses partnered with COSC.
