So, I tried to register for this class but in the description it has a prerequisite that says you should have Intro to Nutrition completed or concurrently taking it. Is there a way around it? Also, do you have to go through full registration with Rio for taking any of their classes? such as application and sending transcripts? looks like lot of work.
all I need is one lab credit, is there any other options besides this? also looking at SL Biology lab.

COSC doesn't require you to take a lab that corresponds with the lecture portion of a course? In other words, would they let you get away with having an astronomy class/test and a biology lab?

I am with TESU and they have given me 3 credits for Environmental and Humanity but need 1 more to meet the requirement in Natural World category (total 4sh needed). I can do any lab or just one credit science class, but I want it to be quick one. I read in the forum before that the Rio class can be done in a day for $215 so I was hoping to use that until I stumbled upon the prereq. I am 7 classes away from finishing BSBA with TESU and don't want to waste time. do you know any other options??

At almost any school, you should be able to come in and take a course without sending in transcripts. You're not transferring there, so they don't need transcripts. I would just call and see what you need to do to take the course. Others here have taken it, I don't think they are strict about the pre-req if you're not a student there.

TESU doesn't require it, you just have to have 4-7 credits in natural sciences - they don't specify that there has to be a lab at all.

I was thinking that since all labs are 1sh credit, it would be easy to do. However, I am open to other suggestions including SL class as long as it is quick, may be a week max. If I cant find any other options then I may just do SL biology lab.

I thought the OP was attending COSC since TESU does not require a lab.

It's easier and faster to take a 3-credit CLEP or DSST. SL labs require a lot of work and expensive lab kits that have to be ordered. A 3-credit, lecture course would be easier and faster, but not as easy and fast as a CLEP or DSST.
