Last month I took the DSST Astronomy test and noticed that the content on the test was vastly different than the IC cards, FREE-CLEP-PREP, and various other sources that I used in preparation. I took the liberty of calling Prometric to ensure that I was given the correct test. In talking with Joe at Prometric, he confirmed that the Astronomy test was "Refreshed" back in June.
Since I was not aware of this, I took and failed the test with a score of 388, which at first i was quite upset about, but then in realizing that I studied all the wrong material I was not as self-depreciating.
I did a quick search on the forums and didn't see any threads mentioning the reworked exams, so I figured that I would start one.
Reworked Exams:
- Astronomy
- Intro to Law Enforcement (judging from the replies on the direct feedback thread)

My twin daughters (age 13) also took this astronomy test in December and had the same results. One scored 335 and the other 385. They both came out saying the stuff on the test was not at all what they head studied. This was their third DSST/CLEP and the first that either had not passed. They said the stuff on this test was not anything at all like the information they had studied in their course book or the astronomy Education Portal videos they had watched.

I took Fundamentals of Counseling in July - it had been refreshed as well. Luckily I passed - but just barely! I added my comments on the Specific Feedback forum to give advise on what to study for the new exam. I also took Law Enforcement after it was changed -- but didn't see too many differences in the new exam.
