Recommended Coding Programs? (career change)

Asking for a friend who's interested in transitioning into more of a tech career. Currently, she works in more of a business admin type of role, but is interested in a tech career like web development. I originally thought about suggesting the Oakton program to her but saw that she doesn't qualify since she does already have a degree(film major). Obviously, her degree isn't geared towards tech, though she does have basic html/css/js knowledge and is independently practicing/learning more. One thing she's concerned about is finding something that will have at least some instructor feedback/interaction. I'm pretty good at finding opportunities for military/veterans and have benefited from some good local programs that helped me get started in IT/cyber security but she doesn't qualify for those types of programs. Does anyone know of any good coding bootcamp type of programs(possibly for women) that could help her out? Free/inexpensive is obviously preferred.

FreeCodeCamp.org is a good free option for web design/development.

If she doesn't have a lot of money, I would suggest that she does FreeCodeCamp.org and then invest in something like CIS 171 - Advanced Web Page Development at Oakton for the instructor feedback.

I've heard great things about them overall but I think it's hard to get into them, and the program that's a great fit for my friend is technically live during the workday and she works full time.

I can also recommend free code camp. I personally conversed with Quincy on several occasions and write for them, though these days I've been very busy. We have a lot of stuff coming up and unlike most other projects its ever changing. Tell her to do free code camp. If all she plans to do is web "coding" then any degree will do, if she especially focuses on the front end development then no degree is required. Since she already has one she can pick up front end dev easily.

If she wants to work in AI or Embedded Systems or something where you need real CS knowledge, then she will need to look at a degree, other than that she'll be fine...

I would start with basic steps and work on harder ones, take some freebies online and if needed review some lessons/youtube videos for assistance.

do have a look at their website again, they've subdivided the topics now. There's a foundation path that's really meant for noobs, then they let you pick if you wish to do ruby, or JS. i'm not a hardcore supporter of Odin, i actually completed their older curriculum (it's defo not noob friendly. their explanations expect you to know many things b4 hand). but this new one seems good for a total noob. 

the good thing about odin is, they take ur feedback into consideration and they always adopt and change their curriculum.
