Received a Failing Grade, but Passed the Final Assessment?

Did anyone receive 3s and 4s on the final assessment, then receive a failing grade when the term ended?
All of the milestones were completed and affirmed.

I emailed the professor, but haven't received an explanation.
Anyone else experience this?

I haven't seen that before, but I think they are having some admin problems at UMPI the last couple of weeks. Several ppl are still waiting on grades for their classes or milestones/finals to be graded.

What class was it for?

Definately email your advisor/Jessica with this. Add all the scores up and divide by the total (x4)

Such as:
3 of 4
3 of 4
4 of 4
3 of 4
4 of 4

17/20 = 85% B

Straight 3s like:
15/20 = 75% C (Fail)

So you need at least 81% I believe.

The class is BUS 200. Using your formula, I scored a 92.50% on the final and got an "F" on the finalized grade.
I reached out to the professor yesterday but haven't heard anything. I scheduled a phone call with the professor on Monday, and am planning on filing a grade appeal if that doesn't work. Failing this one class will tank my entire degree.

The class is BUS 200 Intermediate Business Computing.

Interesting, 92.5% is radically different than under 80%, I think you should wait until Monday and follow up with both the instructor and academic advising or the registrar to make sure the course did come through properly and it didn't 'fail'. Anything over 80% shouldn't be a fail, I think the course is incomplete or hasn't been fully graded/finished in the system... it's basically a waiting game for them to finish everything.

Thanks! I will do that. I figured out how to schedule a phone call with the professor on Monday and have already looped in Jessica and Cody. Hopefully it's just an error. kidneysmasher did mention that there seems to be some tech issues, and that does seem to be the case as half of my final grades are still missing.
