I just got home from taking Intro to Psychology and it scared the fire out of me.
That was the 1st time I've ever pressed the "submit scores" button and really thought I hadn't passed. I did a ton of answer choice elimination and as a result, used up most of my time. As it turned out, I somehow ended up with a 68.
I studied solely the REA review and took two practice tests. I went in with a very good grasp of the material in the REA book and was tested on a lot of material that simply wasn't included in the REA review.
So, that being said I strongly advise against using the REA book as a sole resource for this test. Supplement it. Heavily.
REA, up til now, has been awesome CLEP prep for me but sadly, this book falls well short of that standard.:toetap:

I can't say because I haven't taken the test, but it may well also depend on what version of the CLEP you get. It may be great for one version, but craptasmic for the others.

That's true but usually the REA will at least cover a little bit of everything you'll see on a test. that wasn't the case this time. Guess I shouldn't complain too much tho. A P is a P hilarious

It's interesting that the book that fell far short of the standard got you a score equal to your highest. I didn't use REA for anything, but it looks like they covered enough relevant material to equip you to eliminate most of the wrong answers--even if you weren't sure you ended up with the right ones. Turns out--you did--and quite a few right answers at that. Congratulations on a great score. If nothing, I'm sure it sharpened your "process of elimination" skills!

but you scored a 68? How were you unprepared? One could argue that you were over-prepared. Your score certainly represents a mastery of the subject according the the expect level of competency for a PSYCH101 student. I used a college text and I think I scored in the mid 50's, so when I saw your score, I'd consider that a reason TO use the ERA book.
