I just wanted to provide some feedback on the RBA degree incase there are any West Virginia students who have accumulated any WV credits from community colleges or even at the 4-year schools. The program requires 24 credits at any West Virginia public institution, which can be made up of community college credits and the home institution. They also offer what is called WVROCKS, which is courses for RBA students that runs at reduced tuition currently at $669 a class; if you have PELL this is a great deal to acquire UL coursework at 8-week sessions. West Virginia University requires a six credit residency at slightly over $1000 a course to graduate; the other universities only need three credits. I have pasted below how my ACE credits have been transcribed (portfolio credits transcribe the same way). They are transcribed as College Equivalency Credits, and they accepted all 24 ALEKS credits. More importantly and impressive, they also transcribed my ACTFL credit without the requirement to verify what language it is in -- as long as it appeared on an ACE transcript they were ok with it. At current policy, this would give a person an opportunity to take 36 credits in English:
12 credits in oral interview (6 UL)
6 credits in listening
6 credits in reading
12 credits in writing proficiency (6 UL)
This is a total of 36 credits (12 UL)
If someone did complete all 24 credits at ALEKS (prior to ACE expiration) and takes the ACTFL that would complete 60 credits toward a degree.
The only negative about the program is that your ACE credits cannot be applied toward an AoE or minor, these are for graded courses only - however, some of my CC credits did transfer in as UL. They do require 39 UL credits to graduate and a computer course can be used to substitute for math.

It's an adult bachelor degree offered at all West Virginia public colleges. Much like the Big 3, you can use alternative ACE approved courses to complete the degree and math isn't required for the general education courses. The degree has a West Virginia residency requirement of 24 credits completed at any WV school such as a community college. Most schools only have a 3 credit residency in house in order to graduate.

Yes, so long as your credits amount to 24 from a combination of WV schools.
