Quick, low cost BA/BS Phychology degree
#1
I'm looking for the cheapest route to a RA online-only college with a BA/BS Psychology degree program. I do not have any transferring credits so I'm interested in using programs like Sophia and Modern States to help relieve some financial burden. I also will not qualify for grants or scholarships. I'm a nontraditional student. Can someone give me some good advice to help me get going?  I've been studying this nonstop for a week and I"m so overwhelmed.

Do you already have any Sophia/Study.com/CLEP credits? Either way, you're in luck. UMPI recently came out with a BA Psychology. https://online.umpi.edu/degrees/undergra...sychology/ It will be available starting in October. That should give you plenty of time to gather the needed credits. We have a degree plan here: https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/UM...egree_Plan and https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/UM...quivalents
In progress:
TESU - BA Computer Science; BSBA CIS; ASNSM Math & CS; ASBA

Completed:
Pierpont - AAS BOG
Sophia (so many), The Institutes (old), Study.com (5 courses)
ASU: Human Origins, Astronomy, Intro Health & Wellness, Western Civilization, Computer Appls & Info Technology, Intro Programming
Strayer: CIS175, CIS111, WRK100, MAT210

I do not have any Sophia etc. credits. I'm just starting out and jumping head first so I can quickly get this done. My goal is a doctorate degree in Psychology long term.  Thank you so much for the links!

@eogeaux, Welcome to the board, that's a very brief and quick introduction and follow up. Please fill us in with more details and provide us a better overview of what your current situation is, with a better picture of what you are looking for, the better we can help and assist with advice: https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-...Area-works

Edit to Add: You want to provide us details on the template and last post addendum. Further to that, you should create a spreadsheet of your degree plan for reference and tracking purposes. The UMPI degree hasn't fully been released yet, you can also look at Excelsior as another example... Keep your options open, do the 60-90 credits entirely with Sophia.org to get you started...

Thank you for your attention to my post. I added the template to the original post.  I did have a chance to look over UMPI and they seem like they will be quicker and cheaper by a lot compared to the schools I had been researching which were Park University, SNHU, Capella, and Franklin.

Any reason you are so certain you will not qualify for grants or schoarlships? You should fill out a FAFSA anyways its free. and there are schoarlships out there for non-traditional students.

I'm certain because I completed my FAFSA for Park University. They sent me a couple of loan offers. I also didn't qualify for a single scholarship at Park, nor any grants. Some of that could change at a different university I guess.

@eogeaux, the template is very simple, it's the addendum that's more complex and detailed. It gives us a picture of your budget, commitments, study habits, tuition assistance/reimbursement, and any other details you may think of that would assist us in advising you further. At this time, if you're starting from zero, you're best to get up to 90 with Sophia.org and these 90 you're choosing should be looked at further so it would "hit" all the schools you have interest in... Again, copy/paste the addendum with revisions...
