Hello again Janji - I just tripped over your older post here, and I just continue to be impressed by your "outside-the-box" accomplishments. Thanks for your previous response to my GPA for Grad School thread.
Besides being obviously smart and a savvy test-taker, what do you attribute for your ability to take so many tests "stone cold". Are you perhaps: an avid reader? a 30 something now-mature adult who is always thinking about making connections to everything you hear or see? what?
I'm trying to help out a friend of my son's who eventually wants to get to be a Physician's Assistant (PA). Like my son, he has ADD which has hampered his youthful academic history. I believe he will have to knock-out the MCATor GRE to get into the Keck Medical School, USC program. This PA admissions requirment includes a minimum 3.0 GPA He's at 2.8, and it won't be possible to get there with the few courses he has left to get his BSAST at TESC in Repiratory Therapy. For currency reasons, he is going to have to repeat all 7 of the lab science requirements - hopefully he can find a respected CC near him - before applying to Keck (He would get free tuition here as an employee of USC). I believe that if he does very weill on all these lab courses and scores reasonably well - say 80% on the MCAT and/or GRE (either is acceptable here), he has a great chance of being accepted in spite of his previous undergrad backround. I know you probably have no specific knowledge of any of the instituions and prgram details I place before you, I just would like to consult with an intelligent person on the planet for any ideas they might have on the matter.
