I was wondering if there was any sort of list available as to which degrees offered by the "Big Three" could be completed entirely via examination, and perhaps via which types of examination? Also, I cannot seem to find a list of which exams will earn what sort of credit on any of the Big Three's websites. Could someone please point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance for any and all help provided.

Welcome! Here is a recent thread about "test out" degrees
http://www.degreeforum.net/general-educa...011-a.html. Also here is a
link to testing and credit level at TESC. Scroll down and you will see Clep/Dsst tests and what level they are considered and in parentheses are the credits given. I don't have info for the other 2 schools but maybe someone else will chime in.

Welcome to the forum!
Excelsior's Student Guide to Credit by Exam -
Click "Downloadable Documents" at the bottom of EC pages
Then click "Catalogs"
Then download the Student Guide
COSC list of exams -
Download "Master List" and use code on right-side of this page:
List of Exams at Charter Oak State College
That should get you off to a good start.

Anyone else had problems getting the complete dl for the EC exam-by-credit list. When I simply open it or dl it, the last couple of pages are blank.
Anyone have a complete copy I can get from them? Would be appreciated.

Hi Toddsbiyj!
I just checked it, and it looks fine. Do you mean pages 43,44, and 45? Yes, they are blank, but none of the other versions have anything after the Gen Ed chart like page 42 either.

Thanks for the replies so far. I haven't gotten a chance to read through each school's website thoroughly, but I was wondering if anyone knew off the top of their heads if a Communications degree could be earned entirely/largely via examination from any of these three schools?

I can't answer your question, but you may want to look at Ohio University's exams for additional testing options.
