I came across the following information and wanted to ask if it's correct:
Study.com members receive the below discounts from Thomas Edison State University:
- Application Fee: $75 (this is standard – not waived or discounted)
- Tuition: Per Credit ($366) and Comprehensive ($6,350) tuition plans
- Residency Waiver Fee ($1,800). This applies only if students take less than 16 credits for either an Associates degree or Bachelors degree.
- Capstone pricing is $366 Per Credit & it's a 3 credit course ($1,098)
- Students are not required to take the cornerstone course, TES-100. However, if they choose to take TES-100, they will be required to pay the $300 tuition fee
I believe this agreement will expire in June so I'd have to register with TESU before then?
Am I obligated to retain the membership with study.com until graduation?
Once enrolled with TESU, can I still submit ACE credits to them?
Thank you in advance. I really appreciate the feedback from this forum!

Yes, this is correct. The program is set to expire in June like you said, and if they renew it the discount will likely be not as good.
You don't need to stay continually enrolled at Study.com.
You can send transcripts to TESU at any time after you're enrollment (or you can wait until you have everything and send it all at once). You're not stopped from taking course elsewhere and transferring in after you enroll.
You can also send a Study.com transcript to TESU directly for free, saving some money on the ACE transcript if you don't have any other new items on there to send over.

Just to clarify, the current discounted pricing ends on 6/30/18.
And, you should probably take a Study.com course (or two) and send the transcripts directly to TESU so that if there's any problem with the Study.com affiliate membership, you have those on there as "proof." Some people on here have reported that they couldn't get the affiliate membership code put on their account until they had the study.com course sent over (although plenty haven't had the problem).

Also, to be clear, we expect that the pricing will go up after the end of June and any fees not paid before then would be at the new prices. So, you might want to get your capstone started by the June term. The July term might do since registration is in June and the tuition would be paid then, but I'd be cautious with that assumption.

I am completing the guardian scholarship this month. Do I apply and send transcripts after acceptance? I'll start a new thread regarding degree specifics. Thank you so much!

Quick question
I'm glad I found this thread because I need to register for my LIB Capstone and I need these discounts.
I'm already listed with the discounts and I've had my profile updated by TESU.
My question is around the residency waiver. When should I pay it to make sure I retain the current discount?

Pay it before June 30. But don't do it unless you're sure you'll graduate within a year of paying it.

In order to pay the residency requirement, do I simply call and request they add it to my account? I want to make sure I can take advantage of the study.com pricing. I figured they charged the fee after the grad check indiciating one did not meet the residency requirements. I did not realize I could potentially pay this fee in advance.

The residency waiver fee has to be paid in advance of applying for graduation.
It was relatively easy to have the bursar add it to your account.

Yes, you call them and they will send you an email that contains a link directing you to where you pay.
On the phone, make sure you remind them of your Study.com affiliation.
