i just received my award info on my 08-09 financial aid info, in 07 my tax returns show me making about 16k, my EFC to contribute is 4500.00, can someone explained to me how this works, because there's no way i will be able to come up w/the money, my school which cost 500 per credit hour, so 1500 per class, my credit hours per summer are 3(1class), fall 9(3 classes), and spring 12(4 classes), my aid for each semester is 2501 summer, 2501, fall, and 2498 spring, now there is not way i'll be able to come up w/the extra money, my school is Webster University, so it's not like it's Harvard or something, I didn't even get a pell grant, all the aid is in loans, i'm going to be taking clep tests for about 60 credit hours but the rest i need to take at school, mainly due to the type of degree, i was at a different school for this past spring semester which happened to be my first semester of any college for me, after being out of highschool for about 8 years. Is there a way to get the aid adjust to cover more of what my costs will be? if not, looks like i wont be going back to college.
