You learn how to document prior learning for submission to the Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) program. It's not a terribly demanding course. It is not expected that you will complete a portfolio or actually submit one during the course. Honestly, it would be pretty dry stuff if you weren't actually interested in pursuing a PLA submission. Personally, I would rather read "Pride and Prejudice".
@amaquiling - Keep in mind this is the advice from a guy who actually did PLAs to earn credits for his TESU degree! (see davewill's signature from his original reply)
It doesn't look like they'll have a Jane Austen session for this upcoming term, which is what I'm looking for, unfortunately. Looks like it's between PLA-100 and APS-100, but I'm definitely leaning towards the former since it's a 4 week course as opposed to 12 weeks.
