Question about TESC fees

Hi everybody,

Okay so I have about 160 college credits but not degree :S

They are all in the social sciences: psychology, intercultural studies, anthropology.

I was thinking of getting the social sciences degree from Thomas Edison.

Am I understanding correctly that the only thing I'd have to pay for is the capstone and that that would be about $300 if all of my credits are approved?

Are there any other fees that I'm missing?

You'll pay $75 application fee, and any course you take at TESU is $499 per credit if you're not a New Jersey resident (so capstone is $1,499), $300 fee for the required cornerstone course, and then there's also a $2,000 residency waiver fee, and a $323 fee for graduation.

So you're looking at $4,197 if all your credits are accepted and you're on the per-credit tuition plan.

Assuming you meet all of the other requirements, you need to take Cornerstone, Capstone, pay residency waver, and graduation fee. For others, do these numbers look right? $300 (cornerstone)+$1500(capstone)+$2000(waiver)+$300(grad)

Assuming your credits all fit in properly to a degree plan, you'd pay $300 for the cornerstone.

Then you'd pay $1500 for the capstone.

Then you'd pay $2000 for the residency waiver.

Then $323 for the graduation fee.

Again, this is all assuming the 160 credits you have actually fulfill all the degree requirements.

The thing is, if truly all of your courses are in social science, you will still need to take some general education requirements in order to graduate: English Composition I and II, Speech, Math, Science, Ethics, etc.

Now, you should be able to use your credits for your major and elective spots, but there is a limit of 90 credits accepted from a single source. You will need 18 upper level credits as well, which cannot come from a community college.

If you post your credits, we might be able to offer more complete advice.

+1, Further to this, I usually recommend people to verify they've met all requirements. For example, the BSBA General Management requires 18 UL credits for the AOS and business requirements, but essentially, it has more UL credits than 18. I would say the professional business requirements already have 12 credits or more. For the BALS, you need a total of 30 credits that are UL. If you have those 30 UL credits for the BALS degree, you should be good for everything but the Capstone/Cornerstone.
