Does TESU use your "other courses" that aren't applied to your degree in your GPA? I have 2 C's in my eval, I was wondering if I could replace them with "credit" courses, to raise my GPA. But if they count every single course you have ever taken into your GPA, then it won't make a difference.

Your GPA would still exist at the initial college you got the Cs at, unless they have some academic forgiveness program you can do.
Transferred grades will not show up in your official TESU transcript or GPA, but schools (or employers who would care about your GPA) will want all of your transcripts, not just TESU's incomplete picture.

Copy that, thanks. I didn't know if it was taken into account. Unfortunately, out of all 50 of my technical credits that were mostly A's and a couple of B's, only 2 of them applied to my degree in the "free electives" section. So, I thought maybe I could push out the 2 C's to up my TESU gpa. So I suppose I won't even have a GPA in my degree, since I only took a TECEP from TESU.

My TESU transcript reflects a 4.0 because I only took two classes there. But right out of high school, i enrolled in my community college, stopped going without officially dropping the courses, and I have 2 or 3 Fs from back then when I was an idiot. I'm definitely not a 4.0 student, haha

I think there are probably a lot of returning adult students fit that description. I know I do.

Yeah, I think it's safe to say that many (most?) of us have some skeletons in our academic closets. I once forgot to go the final of the required health course (I was too dumb to realize that it wasn't needed for a transfer student) resulting in an F in a course that wilted lettuce could ace. I was too embarrassed to go and ask the prof for a make-up, which I realize now she probably would have granted.
Well, at least the beautiful girl I missed it for ended up being my wife.

Well, she certainly shouldn't have ever married someone with such a blackmark on their academic record!!

After my first 3 semesters at SJSU, I had a 1.98 GPA! Yeah, it wasn't a great time for me. My parents weren't so thrilled either. Luckily, I found that while I hated college, I really liked working!
Going back later, I have never gotten anything less than a B in a college course in the last 20 years. My overall GPA is 3.0, my last 60 graded credits is 3.38, and my last 30 graded credits is 3.74. I think lots of people go in as teens without a clue, bomb out, and go back and do great later on.

I know they wont accept them in the major but will TESU accept transfer courses with a grade D in the general education section?
Thanks for the help!
