Question, Credit by Examiniation, TESC Credit Limit restriction.

Hi There,
I have earned 102 credits by examination for BSBA GM. Do you know if TESC will accept all the credits, or will they stop at 90?
please provide some details on this aspect.

I would just send the transcript to TESC and see if you can talk to someone there. It takes a LONG time for them to process transcripts. Tell them you would like to apply, but can they tell you where you are at before you officially enroll? One way I got around the wait/worry when I applied is I live in NJ. I had all my transcripts and CLEP test print outs and I brought the transcripts in SEALED envelopes. I asked them to tell me if everything would transfer in (and I didn't quite have 90 credits in tests like you when I applied), I think they took 84-86 of my credits back when I first applied and then I added loads more CLEP's. But when I brought my credits to the open house they were really cool and told me why, where and how many of my credits would transfer in. I think I only missed credit for 2 actually classes that overlapped.

Another tip is to try contacting a specific department via e-mail. They have the department e-mail addresses on the site. I usually follow up with them in a day or two if I didn't hear back from my e-mail. I am in the nursing program and they have been pretty good so far.

Since TESC technically does not have a residency requirement, they will accept up to 120 credits in transfer. However, those credits must be applicable to your degree. For the non-business degrees, there is a capstone or current trends and application course that has to be taken at TESC.
