Psych electives for TESC Psych degree
#1
Question
Hello!
I'm doing a Psychology degree through TESC, and wondered if you guys thought I could take these 2 DSST's for the 6 credits of Psychology electives. Cool

Fundamentals of Counseling DSST (3)
Substance Abuse DSST (3)

I've also taken these 2 CLEP's that I was going to use in my GenEd electives (but if the 2 DSST's don't work for the Psych electives, then maybe I could switch with these??):
Intro to Educational Psychology (3)
Human Growth and Development (3)

Thanks for any help you can give!!  Smile

Substance Abuse DSST is one of the suggested courses on the TESU degree page, so it will definitely work. I;m fairly sure Fundamentals of Counseling would work as well, but it comes in with a COU course code instead of PSY, so you should double check with TESU. But I'd be surprised if they didn't accept it as a Psych elective.

Awesome!! Thanks for helping! If they don't take the Fundamentals of Counseling, do you think they'd take CLEP Intro to Ed Psychology?

Yes, that's another option listed on their degree map page.

You can see some other ideas listed on there: https://www.tesu.edu/heavin/ba/Psychology.cfm
