Principles of Marketing UofP Transfers.

I figured since so many people help me. I should contribute!

I was just doing some searching, looking at associates on UofThePeople. I noticed a class Called "Principles of Marketing Bus 2201". I went to see what it transfers to UMPI as and it comes in as a UL Bus 330 Course. Wasn't sure if anyone needed any UL courses but that could count as one based on Mainestreets Database. That could be a way to get credit for between $120 and $180, depending on if they waive the application fee of $60 for you. I don't know if this is a good idea, but I think depending on the circumstances it could be a low-cost UL. They also have some other classes that transfer as well. This is more so for someone only needing maybe 1 quick UL. I hope this info helps someone

Do you know how the UoP courses work? Can you accelerate through them or more of a standard 8 week course?

I'm not sure why you're subjecting yourself to extra cost, energy, time with a Nationally Accredited option when you can do so through ACE/CLEP options.
To save yourself some cash, a freebie option is the CLEP Marketing.  To support this board, the InstantCertCredit for $20/month + $15 proctor fee.

I suggest ICC - Either of these options are self-paced and can be done quickly, the UofP option most likely will follow a set timeline of 8 weeks or more.

You can not accelerate UoPeople. I don’t recommend seeking them out to grab credits like you would ACE providers. But I think this is still useful for people who had already started there.

Principles of Marketing from InstantCert also transfers to UMPI as BUS330. There are many Principles of Marketing courses out there that will transfer to UMPI as BUS330.

Yup, there are plenty of ACE options alone to transfer in that particular course, or inexpensive RA or partnership options.

I agree, this thread is very helpful for those who intend to transfer in NA credits into a school that will accept them.  However, I would only recommend transferring courses that are hard to find with ACE options.  

An example, a student wanting a Bachelors in Computer Science from Bottega University, they can complete the degree there with 90 Sophia.org credits and the remaining 30 credits of Computer Science courses.  Voila!  A degree done, but they want to "convert it into RA" credits.  

Excelsior, UMPI or any other school who take NA credits for evaluation, will be able to add that into their transcripts, below the line and not used for the degree.  This technically indicates the person has completed transferable courses that are not used for the degree, but as an overall credit bank.
