I just got signed up on this Instant Cert website and have been running through the flashcards for both the Management and Marketing Clep Exams. Anyone out there taken either of these? How much does the flashcard work translate into actual test questions? How much studying do I need before I take the test? Never taken a CLEP test before, just not sure how difficult these are going to be.
Any response would be appreciated.
Thanks

The exam feedback section for both:
http://www.degreeforum.net/specific-exam...ep-14.html
and
http://www.degreeforum.net/specific-exam...ep-15.html
Should give you an idea of how close/sufficient the IC cards can be for studying.
A lot of the basic ideas tend to get covered by the flashcards, which is why for many it's sufficient to pass; however, you never want to take that risk, and always want to treat it like you're studying for the class itself.
Principles of Management I feel is the foundation of many other business-related courses, and on it alone allowed me to pass many other classes with limited study (in fact, I studied for it on my own prior to finding this site). You can get by with limited study on it IMO, but again you can only benefit by taking it seriously, especially once you start moving into more conceptual courses like Ethics and Economics.

OfficerA is giving you sound advice.
Remember, even if you do pass the CLEP exam, you will still be expected to know the information from the course in future courses. Organizational Behavior, Human Resource Management, Group Dynamics, et cetera...many of the theories discussed in Principles of Management apply to these other courses.

Don't stress about it, you have the option to take Principles of management from Straighterline. I could not commute to take CLEP exams therefore I used straighterline for POM and for the Marketing course, it is an easy exam. Exam specific feedback on the forum is enough to pass marketing exam.
Good luck.

Really get the terms and situations down for these tests. They are both straightforward and not hard.
