PreCalculus Clep
#1
Hey guys!

Just took Clep Precalculus yesterday and thought I'd give some feedback. I passed with a score of 60, after studying Saxon mathematics and Precalculus Demystified (a great resource).

What is really interesting is that I found the REA practice tests to be crazy hard compared with the actual Clep. There's no comparison! If I would have paid attention to them I would have delayed a lot -- I'm so glad I didn't! I didn't study the REA Precalculus book at all: I bought it but it's just written too poorly - hard to understand and hazy as downtown LA...

What is even more interesting: I took the Official Clep Study Guide practice test; I only got a 50/50 on it!! I only got 50 *percent* correct! But with God's help I got a *score* of 60 on the actual Clep! So I guess that even if one get's 50 percent on the Official Clep practice test, you should still take the test, because you have a great chance of passing.

The test overall is WAY easier than I was expecting it to be. I memorized a bunch of trigonometric identities etc, but didn't need to because the test never got into that. Just a bunch of more fundamental functions and trigonometry.

Just thought someone out there might want to know! If anyone has any question's feel free to ask!

Robert
