Obviously you needed more than IC to prepare!
Don't rely on just IC. Since you are a member you should have taken advantage of the specific exam feedback.
You know how to use the "SEARCH" function and you took the time to find this thread that was last added to in 2007. I would've just admitted to poor study techniques.
IC for me has helped incredibly. Using this resource as well as supplementing with specific exam feedback has netted me major credits. 10 out of 10

I am very disgusted with Instant Cert. I studied IC vigorously which was my first mistake. 3/4 of the Intro to Psych covered matters not even close to being mentioned in the IC study tests. I could have probably passed if I had a previous Psych course, but I haven't. Knowing the Intro to Psych IC study test front to back was not of help at all. It was a waste of time and money. This particular study test needs to be re-evaluated and updated.

Did you look at the exam feedback section of this forum? I have taken a bunch of tests (Though not Psychology specifically) and have found that Instant Cert is right on most of the time. If they are ever missing something, that section of the forum will let you know what you need to brush up on.

Instacert is great. Well worth the money. Equally important is the forum section you get access to with your subscription.

I have been studying for the Intro to Law Enforcement DSST off and on for a couple years and have recently re-subscribed to IC. I will agree that the Specific Feedback forum is outstanding and there are quite a few helpful posters on here, BUT... the flashcards for Intro to Law Enforcement DSST are very vague and the information that I have been told is supposed to be on the test is not really what is covered in the cards. The flashcards are taking me way into the weeds and away from a lot of the stuff that is supposedly on the test. Yes I have several other resources and am not just relying on IC. The problem is that there are a lot of cards that are very poorly worded, give me the correct answer after I have already chosen the correct answer (yes with correct spelling and word for word) and then tell me I got it wrong. Then there are some of the flashcards that are just plain wrong. Maybe they correspond to the answers on the test and the test answers are also wrong, but I am quite sure I am not going to get very far with these. I have gone over them again and again and again and again (you get the picture) and they are just not sinking in. I have never seen this type of study method before.

I just added my 5 star review! It only raised the score by 2 tenths of a point. We need more oomph! Go register and review, it only takes a minute.
