Portfolio Assessment
#11
I've started the Kaplan course and it is very informative. I like that they will give me feedback throughout the process. I've considered requesting for credit via PLA for the following:

Federal Income Tax for Individuals and Corporations
I've been doing both corporate, Partnership, and individual tax returns without the help of a CPA for the past 3 years for 6 different companies.

Human Resource Management
I've had W2 employees in my company for over 10 years, and I did my own hiring and provided orientation for each employee. I have tons of payroll records to provide as proof, a company policy booklet that I wrote, and I managed all of the company benefits.

Small Business Management
13 years experience running a company from the bottom up.

Project Management
I've had numerous projects I've implemented over the years which I have supporting documents.

Small Business Finance
I have lots of bookkeeping and short term and long term business loans for numerous companies. I have documentation to support this. #512 on the 2010 Inc. 5000 list.

Fundamentals of Investing
I opened my first brokerage account at the age of 18 and I have been trading for 16 years now. I have documentation that supports that back to 2005 which shows an area of profit and expertise and options, shorts, longs, bonds, and mutual funds.

Basically my question is, am I a good candidate to attempt this? I've recently taken 5 different business classes and they are very elementary for me. I've noticed myself reading the material and zoning out quite often (which is why I wouldn't want to test out). I have no problem writing 10-20 pages on accomplishments while providing supporting documents.

Would free certificates from Alison.com help with the argument about my knowledge on the subject? I just did several of these and they seemed very simple (HR Management, Business Law, Investing)

Then of course I'll have to decide what school to choose.
MA in progress
Certificate in the Study of Capitalism - University of Arkansas
BS, Business  Administration - Ashworth College
Certificates in Accounting & Finance
BA, Regents Bachelor of Arts - West Virginia University
AAS & AGS

Just keep in mind some schools limit the number of PLA credits you are allowed to use towards a degree. Definitely check all the requirements with the school you plan to attend.

Definitely, I'm around 111 credits and I am missing upper level courses.
