The only tests I studied for were statistics, history, and sociology. REA was the secret to my success in history and sociology. I did not find value in spending money on other means of preparation except for statistics. I did use InstantCert for statistics, but only for review purposes.

Not being trite, I'm serious, they don't really have a reason to look at scores unless they're being nosy, it's not like they are allowed. Now I'm curious about privacy and/or confidentiality.....hummm. I don't know...there could be a CollegeBoard tool for testing centers to keep track of such things. I've never seen what goes on from the testing center point of view, but they might have a "statistics" panel provided by CollegeBoard showing them overall number of test-takers and number of scores over 50. I can't imagine our busy test center keeping track at the individual level. I would think that impossible, as limited as their resources are.

Thanks for calling me a ninja
![]() But actually its just overstudying. I read read read. When I was in college, I looked into CLEP and the stupid material I read made it sound like you already have to know the subject cold before taking the tests so I ruled it out. I wish I had just gone to the bookstore and picked up a REA book. Those books are the reason why I have a degree and am working on my MBA. I taught myself computer network management and picked up an MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) back in 1998 after reading books and testing out, passing 7 tests to receive that designation in 6 weeks. At that point, if you had told me about CLEP, TESC and the REA books, I would have been able to finish my degree within months. Oh well ![]()

I have taken 20 exams so far and failed one so that makes 95%. My course grades have all been in the 90's so they do correlate with my exam pass rate. I do tend to over-study.

After passing my first few tests, you can imagine my enthusiasm. I went and recommended them to family, friends, and my airmen. Most of them subsequently went on to failing the CLEPs. IMHO, it seems us DF members are part of a unique group. People have different learning styles. Some of us are perfect for CLEP/DSSTs, some are more suited to class rooms (I know I am not a fan of online learning), the key is to find what works well and run with it.
CLEPS Passed: 10 DSST Passed: 11 TECEPS: 1
PrLoko-isms Don't waste time by trying to save time. The only sure way to complete your degree is to knock out credits quickly and efficiently. Don't let easiness bite you in the rear. Know your endgame (where you want to be) and plan backward from there. Your education is a means to an end. Be honest professionally, socially and academically. There are people (especially little ones) who look up to you and they're going by your example. Be proud. Whether you're an Engineer or Fast Food worker, there is honor and dignity in hard work. Picking on people weaker than you only proves that you are a weak person.
