Please tell me if my final plans are good
#1
I have 88 credits so far and I need 9 more Humanities, 12 Social Science and 12 General Electives. Please let me know if I am on the right track here.

Humanities
Analysing & Interpreting Literature-6
Technical Writing-3

Social Science
Intro to Psycology-3
Intro to Sociology-3
Human Growth & Development-3
Educational Psycology-3

General Electives
History of the Vietnam War-3
World Religions-3
Need 2 more.

I don't think I can take any of the science test without duplicating what I already have.

I would like something not to hard. I need to do this fast. I am a single mother working full time so I only have so little time to study.

For two more tests as general electives, look at the DSST Here's to your Health and DSST Environment and Humanity. They're quite easy.

Before you take any tests, check with your school to make sure that those tests meet its requirements. As to what is easy. I think the advice that I found most helpful is to determine what intrests you, and find tests that can help you in that area. Free-Clep-Prep shows Am. Gvt. as a Level 4, with Level 5 being the hardest. I live near D.C., so I learned that stuff by osmosis, but I would probbly find sociology hard. Good luck. I work full-time, too, and it's hard, Kudos for doing this with kids.

Thank you for your suggestions.

I took Hers to your health as my first exam and passed.

I thought Enviroment and Humanity would duplicate one of the enviroment courses I have I am going for the environmental Studies at Thomas Edison. Now I think it might be ok because it is not exactley the same course number as one I have. Is that right?

I am using the great charts that SandraNC did so I hope that is what Thomas Edison will take.

If I go with things I like I would be afraid of American Government it seems hard. I like art and literature. How hard are they on that scale you mentioned? I was thinking Art of the Western World and American Literature.

Thank you again for your help. I already looked up some information on the A&I Literature Alleycat suggested and I will see if I can get that in one day this week after work.

If you like art and literature, take the American Literature for the six credits of Gen Ed you still need because it is a a six credit exam.

If the environmental science course you are taking is that 6 credit UL one at TESC, it shouldn't duplicate the DSST- look at the course prefix and ask your advisor for confirmation by email if you still aren't sure.

Thank you I didn't realize the American Literature is 6 credits. i did take the Thomas Edison 6 Credit Environmental course, but I also have lots of other environmental courses. I will have to check if that exam is ok because it is another course number.

Marie,

I am not sure what you have done for math classes already but you might want to take a look at Aleks. There are several Aleks threads started and you can take a look and see if that might be something you could do. I read in one of your posts that money is tight for you and you have a family to support. Aleks is only $20 a month and you could get several math courses done fairly inexpensively. Just a thought.

One other thing Marie. You would have to sign up for ACE to have your credits transcribed.

If you Like literature American Lit is a good idea. The Vietnam War and Religion test are upper level and a little harder if you ask me. Do you have prior knowledge of them or are they just interesting to you?
