Hello Everyone,
I'm located in California, 22 years old. Currently enrolled at Thomas Edison State University (TESU). Trying to get A Bachelors Degree with a area of study in Information Technology. I've completed a few courses at at Sophia.org.
MacroEconomics (3 credits)
MicroEconomics (3 credits)
Introduction to Information Technology (3 credits)
I want to get most of the credits out of the way using Sophia.org. What other classes should I take to take care of the requirements

If you want a Bachelor's degree in IT instead of CS, I would suggest Purdue University Global instead of TESU.

You can get a ton of credit by getting just a handful of certificates.

Unlike TESU (
https://www.tesu.edu/ast/programs/bs/it ), they don't require Chemistry/Physics.

Another option could be a degree in Technology Management from Peirce:
https://www.peirce.edu/degrees-programs/...management They accept Sophia, Study.com, and are apparently more generous with certificate credit than TESU is.
TESU is good if you want a degree in Computer Science. Not so good if you want a degree in IT.
In progress:
TESU - BA Computer Science; BSBA CIS; ASNSM Math & CS; ASBA
Completed:
Pierpont - AAS BOG
Sophia (so many), The Institutes (old), Study.com (5 courses)
ASU: Human Origins, Astronomy, Intro Health & Wellness, Western Civilization, Computer Appls & Info Technology, Intro Programming
Strayer: CIS175, CIS111, WRK100, MAT210

WGU has a good IT program that comes with free certifications.
As mentioned Purdue University Global is another option.
I believe it was stated on DF that it wasn't possible to test out of the IT degree from TESU anymore so the only option would be Computer Science.
Degrees: BA Computer Science, BS Business Administration with a concentration in CIS, AS Natural Science & Math, TESU. 4.0 GPA 2022.
Course Experience: CLEP, Instantcert, Sophia.org, Study.com, Straighterline.com, Onlinedegree.org, Saylor.org, Csmlearn.com, and TEL Learning.
Certifications: W3Schools PHP, Google IT Support, Google Digital Marketing, Google Project Management

You can't test out of an IT degree at TESU any longer - they changed alll the requirements for the courses, and most are no longer available. I think it will run you close to $30k to get it now.
Instead, look at WGU or Purdue Global, especially if you have certs. Purdue is especially generous with the amount of credit you can get for a good cert.
