With Statistics out of the way and my Accounting II class in full swing, I decided to try to pick up the pace after my three month lay-off/Statistics studying. I need two more classes to complete my elective Arts and Sciences credits for my Excelsior BGB. I originally planned to take the American Gov't CLEP, however, a little poking around on this forum changed my mind.
First, it occurred to me that I want a good GPA--just because. More "A" letter grades will off-set the few old "C's" I had to keep around from many years ago. So then I looked at the DSST list again and compared it to the Specific Feedback section here.
DSST Criminal Justice looked very easy and within a week I was very comfortable with all the flashcards. I don't think I could have prepared for American Gov't that quickly and I would not have received a letter grade for the exam. So I scheduled that test for this coming Monday and today I began studying for DSST Ethics in America and ECE Ethics: Theory and Practice. Again, the specific feedback was encouraging and I'm hoping for a 2 for 1.
I scheduled September 26 for both. I have a parent/teacher conference at 7:45 a.m. followed by the DSST Ethics test locally at 9 a.m. and the ECE Ethics test an hour across town at 12:30 p.m.
I feel like if I can pull that off it'll make up a little for my summer lull. If successful, I'll probably try taking at least three weeks each to prepare for my CLEP Macro and Microeconomics and see where I'm at heading into the holidays.
That's my plan. Comments? Observations? What's yours?
