Make sure you contact Excelsior and Penn Foster before you do any of the career diploma or certificate programs that come out of Penn Foster's Career School instead of Penn Foster College. Internally, Penn Foster does give college credit in their degree programs for some completed certificate/career diploma programs. Although, on another forum, I read the story of one PF student who couldn't transfer credits from his electronics certificate to their degree program because the finals weren't proctored. When I emailed Penn Foster about completing a certificate and then transferring the credits to another school, a representative said that the certificate and career diploma programs (excluding the certificate programs offered through PF College) were not meant for college credit. They are career development and continuing education courses.
So, you would have to make sure that any courses completed through the career school will end up on your ACE transcript. If not, you'll have to pay for each courses individually from the college, which is more expensive. Now, I think I heard that Excelsior accepts a limited number of credits from NA schools even if their courses are not ACE evaluated, but you would still have to make sure that they would count courses taken through Penn Foster's career school as college credit. I hope I wasn't too confusing.
