Instead of waiting days on PF to get back to me, I thought I would just ask you guys. I just don't want to have to wait for weeks for things to be sent to me once I'm done with the rest of the modules. All I can find is that I need to submit papers and that the test will be sent to my proctor, sounds long and slow, so I better get on it! I plan to be done with one class in less than a week (maybe).
Thanks in advance for your help.
EDIT:
Also, is the process electronic or mail and how long does it take to get the proctor approved?

I think I found it here:

But it is from 2 years ago, still good?
Also, does it really take 2-3 weeks to grade it?

Yes that is the form. I faxed it in when I began my courses. I completed all coursework on July 26th and the exams were mailed on the July 28th. My proctor received the package on Aug 3rd and we are now trying to schedule a date. She said there is a 2hr limit on each exam.
I have also read it can take 2-3 weeks for the exams to be graded and final grade posted. Given it took just shy of a month (27days) for my TESC midterm grade to post, 2 days prior to me taking my final; I'm not complaining about this small outfit taking a bit of time.
I'm sure someone else will chime in soon with more complete answers.

As I recall, when I took Tech Math I at PFC it took around a week+ or so (8-10 days) for the final to be graded; it had to be sent there first via snail mail too.

Send the exam using delivery confirmation and check online for the delivery time. As soon as you see it has been received call Penn Foster and contact the proctor department and ask them to verify they have your exams for grading. You have to be on top of them to have your stuff graded soon.

Hi,
Will you please tell me why PF's Music App. seems easy and their Art App. is not so easy? My daughter is trying to decide between the two.
Thanks!

I am so sorry I didn't see this question. I retract that statement, in fact, the opposite is true. I had just completed bombing my first exam when I wrote that and have gotten straight A's ever since in art. The music book was harder to navigate when you were taking the open book tests. I would consider them pretty similar in difficulty, only for me, art was a tiny bit easier because of the more usable index. I believe the book was smaller which makes the index smaller which makes it easier to find what you are looking for.

I must say that they have completely put me off of their college with their lack response time, communication and organization of a recent course I took. The course book and documents were on back order for 3 weeks. I finally ended up purchasing the book out right to get the exams done. I needed this course for a pre-req for grad school. Then I find out I cannot take the final until I receive the books because it isn’t proctored test. It was a final project. So I FINALLY get my books on 8/11/10, mind you after calling them numerous times to find out when the books will be out and I also had to pay extra $$$ to have them overnighted. I completed the project that night and was excited that I could actually submit the project online…woo hoo quicker grading…or so I thought. No. It is now 8/20/10, I am supposed to start grad school 8/30/10…10 days and it still isn’t graded yet. It didn’t even take this long for them to grade a proctored final that was mailed in. I have emailed, contact us…blah, blah at least 3 or 4 times since the beginning of this week. First I wanted to know how long for the grading process, etc., next it was practically begging them to grade it asap so I can overnight the transcripts to the school, then today my email wasn’t really mean but it was straight to the point because they are not even responding to my emails. It is ridiculous that they cannot grade this simple project. I think there is like 9 questions…4 work problems and 5 multiple choice questions.

Oh that's a bummer!
It does seem like response times are an intermittent complaint with PFC. Sometimes they are on top of it, but other times...not so much. I hope you get everything cleared up.
Make sure they put two forms of ID on your transcript. Excelsior sent mine and my wife's back to PFC because they couldn't figure out which "emily *********" it was supposed to be associated with. Very frustrating.
