Hey all,
I am currently taking the Penn Foster Strategic Management Class.
Since this is my first class with them I am confused about the process and what they are asking for? I read the study guide and the Syllabus but i am not sure i understand?
I have completed all the Exams and Discussion board requirements but have 2 sections left that I dont understand how to complete? Bus 425 Project , Bus 425 Class Participation
When i click on 'Take Exam' in both those areas i get 'Upload Here' for Project and for the Class Participation exam, it says "This lesson cannot be submitted online. Please review your study materials for instructions about submitting this graded lesson. - Exam Number=ESSAY"
Any insight would be appreciated. Also, how does the grading work for this? I have a 97% so far so I wasnt sure if I had enough of a grade that the final tests are not relevant (like happens in Straighterline)? Also, do these classes go right to my school (TESU) or does this goto ACE to be transferred?
Thanks Again

Your instructor will give you a grade for your class participation, which comes from the webinars. You do nothing with the class participation exam. For the project, it is the case analysis of Southwest Airlines that is case 20 in the book. The instructions for this project are in your online Study Guide, page 75 unless it has changed. Once you complete the project and save it on your computer, you will upload it with the Project tab. There is no final exam, but instead the case analysis project and it is required of you. I have not heard of anyone not completing it because they felt their grade was good enough. Transfer your class to ACE.

What was the final verdict on TESU accepting Penn Foster's Bus 425 as a Capstone course for their BSBA? There was a lot of back and forth and whether TESU would continue to accept BUS 425 but I haven't been able to find out the final decision. I'm in the 2015 catalog if that makes a difference.

Make sure you click the link and schedule to attend webinar that is offered ONLY once a week on Mondays. Your first opportunity starts this coming Monday and then for the next three weeks. Only then Donna will complete the grading on your participation and in most cases your paper. She is picky about you turning in your project only after you attend your first webinar otherwise she will ding you on your grades.

Get a pre-approval for your class and have it included in your transcript evaluation as *PTE, which means Planned transfer. Once you have that, you are good. YOu can do this by simply emailing them asking for transfer equivalency and stating that you are currently taking it with an intent of transferring it in to TESU.

WGU MBA - Journey Started for 2016 -2017 .

I think the OP is out of luck with the transfer unless they had it preapproved and he enrolled before the changes took place on April 1. As I have sent email asking about a few of their courses. This is what I got.
OPTION:Your only option is to use the learning you have and secondary resources from the TESU OER materials and TECEP.
We have solved your issue
Both Financial Management and International Business from Penn Foster still transfer. They will transfer over as FIN-301 and MAN-371, respectively and will work to complete two Core requirements: Principles of Finance and International Management.
However, the University is no longer accepting the Penn Foster course, Strategic Business Management. You must complete the capstone requirement via our online course or TECEP exam: BUS-421, Strategic Management.
Should you have additional questions, please create a new ticket by sending an email to academicadvising@tesc.edu with your degree program in the subject line. Thank you.

Well on to the next one. I have a call with a TESU advisor next week and make sure i get everything pre-approved from now on.
Thx for the insight.

It was April 12, 2016, 10:49 AM. People who have preapproved and registered for the course or enrolled before April 1 should be fine. If you haven't enrolled or are not preapproved, you can try your best to get a waiver or exception, OP should email TESU advising that they're about done the course and would like to see if there can be an exception.

Thanks! I actually had it preapproved after this date (but I'm not re-enrolled in TESU until May 10) so I'm hoping they still give me credit.

btw, I am still confused by the capstone comment? Since ACE accepts the Penn Foster class, doesnt that mean TESU will too? is it that it will not use it for a Capstone requirement but will still accept it for credit? I also have signed up for the 1cr PLA class for May from TESU, i thought that was the Capstone requirement i needed? My head is spinning.
Sorry for all the questions I have about 21cr left to go and want to make sure I am understanding this correctly.
