I can't seem to find any recent information. There's some posts that date back to 2012-2013 that say the Penn Foster Financial Management isn't proctored, but I wanted to know of anyone has recently taken it to verify? And if so, are there any other penn foster courses that aren't proctored as well?

According to ACE: "Methods of assessments include quizzes, examinations, and a comprehensive final exam with a minimum passing score of 70 percent."
Most of their upper level recommended courses have proctored final exams.
You can check ACE recommendations (
ACE CREDIT | The National Guide to College Credit for Workforce Training | Find a Course or Exam) and it will tell you the type of assignments the course has

Also, do you have to go through the course or can you just take the final?

There are 5 exams plus the final, each of which you can download beforehand and work out the problems before doing the real thing. You can also retake the first 5 exams (multiple choice) for a better grade, but you have to show your work and only get one chance on the final. Your grade is made up of these exams so you don't have to do any more than that. You could have them all done in a few hours if you were really determined.
