Penn Foster: Computer Applications in Accounting ACC-211
#1
Has anyone had any experience with this course? I'm looking at possibly using this to meet the accounting requirement for the Gen Mgmt area of study.

Can't help you with the Penn Foster but did you know that CSU Global have a CBE in Information Systems for Accounting? If anyone prefers an exam option, that might be a good bet. I have signed up to CSU Global just to take this CBE to satisfy the Accounting requirement for BSBA Gen Man, but have yet to take it. Everything has just slowed down this year with so many other things to occupy/distract me. I will write up a review once I finally do take this exam.

I just reviewed the course list, and all of the accounting courses are UL. BSBA in General Management Degree Program
BSBA/Accounting TESU (2016). MSA UIUC (2018).

Need help with portfolios? I earned 18 credits at TESU through portfolio evaluations. Nine of those were for upper level accounting courses. My advice for PLA/portfolios: TESU portfolio tips The first post has the Portfolio Checklist I created. Page ten has the actual narrative I wrote to receive credit for ACC-440.

Using Straighterline's Financial Accounting as a substitute for TESU's Intermediate Accounting I? Don't do it if you are an accounting major and/or want your CPA license. They are not the same course and I think TESU has erred in accepting the SL course as Intermediate I. I made this discovery here: Intermediate Accounting II.

Further to this, the link here tells you the course numbering for each. Thomas Edison State University | Undergrad Course Offerings
The majority of the accounting courses you will need in the Area of Study are UL; but for the Intermediate Accounting I & II.
However, that being said; the professional business courses has two courses for Accounting, and both are lower level.

Good catch there re: intermediate 1 and 2. Too bad that they are LL, since they are actually pretty difficult.

Intermediate Accounting is not considered UL at TESU.

Even if they were, TESU does not require all of the AOS courses to be UL; only 12cr out of the 18cr need to be UL.
