I wanted to run something by everyone to get some opinions. I was looking at the BSBA degree at Penn Foster College yesterday, and noticed the semesters are not that expensive. I called them and it sounded like you could get the whole degree, books included for under $10k. The BSBA is nationally accredited but approved by ACE. I think a good portion of my credits from ITT would transfer in, so I should be able to get this degree for about the same cost as testing out. I haven't confirmed this yet, but I wanted to get everyone's opinion. Is there anything I should be concerned with? Anything I'm overlooking or not seeing? Seems like it may be a little too good to be true.
Thanks

Both PFC & ITT-Tech are good (NA) schools and if you transfer a "good portion" of your credits you may end up with a pretty good $ deal.

Thanks ShotoJuku, what if I wanted to take the PF BSBA degree and go to UCLA or another regionally accredited college for a masters. Would the PF degree allow me to do that?

Good question, one that I cannot answer (only UCLA can) however I do know that as many of PFC's courses are ACE reviewed and accepted by EC (RA) then you would have a much better opportunity. Then again, and it depends on what you need your degree for, there are many-many excellent NA schools out there that can serve your masters degree needs too.

Penn Foster's BSBA is not ACE approved. Some of the courses are ACE approved, but not the degree. Before I spent $10k at Penn Foster or any Nationally Accredited school, I would check out Thomas Edison, Excelsior or Charter Oak. For $10k you can get a Regionally Accredited degree with some time and patience.
Start with the ACE transcript service and see how many of your PF and ITT classes are actually ACE approved. Then pick a degree from Thomas Edison and look at the degree wiki on this site. That $10k will buy a lot of CLEP and DSST tests.

UCLA as well as almost all regionally accredited masters programs will require a regionally accredited bachelors. You might have to settle for a NA masters. If you get any NA degree I think you will regret it down the road.

Thanks Jam123, another regionally accredited school I'm looking at is Capella University. Any issues with Capella? I already spoke with them, almost all of my ITT credits transfer in. i would only need to complete the 48 residency credits for the BSBA
