Penalty! Yellow flag for you! Err...For-Profit schools I mean!

FTC is looking into false claims and they're reviewing the largest 70 (yes, 70) For Profits in education.  

Apparently, all of the schools seem to be For-Profits.  BTW, it's just "warning letters".

"Generally, only for-profit colleges fall under the FTC's jurisdiction, but Levine didn't rule out pursuing companies working with nonprofit institutions." - I wonder which institution(s) he could be thinking of..

They've got the funds to pay fines. They don't care. The government doesn't care really either. This is just a way to give the government $$$.

They only deal with For-profits, so that's not a good way to look at this (for-profit vs. non-profit).

You learn something new every day, I always thought the FTC dealt with "all" of them, including private, non profit, faith based, etc...

Agreed, they will send out reams of letters but unless the school does something seriously egregious, little more will happen.
