Okay, a break down of the American Lit vs Eng Lit! Eng Lit way easier than AM lit. I got a 48 on AM Lit and a 60 on Eng lit to give you an idea. Not to bash Am lit to be fair i studied for it the day of the exam, so maybe it was me. I studied for the Eng Lit for about two-three days. Here is what I recommend:
Follow this forum, users are dead on the money
use Barraon's EZ keys 101 for Eng Lit (Awesome)
Sparknotes.com (essential overview of writings)
Quizlet.com( a must have- all the flash cards were basically on the test)
Thing's to study: Shakesphere- Mcbeth, Hamlet, King Lear etc..
Thomas Malory- Arthur
Beowulf
Margaret Atwood-Canadian Writer
First dictionary-Samuel Johnson
Boswell-biographer life of Samuel Johnson
Cavilier Poets
Bronte Sisters
Jane Austen-works
Chaucer
Virginia Woolfe- conscious writer
Good luck!
