Paralegal or Law Certificates on the cheap?
#1
I know of Lawshelf but haven't seen a program that will let you transfer in every course. ABA accredited would be nice. Fully online is a requirement but state does not matter.
TCC - AAS in Information Technology & AAS in Website Management, May 2015
Coursera - IBM Cybersecurity Analyst Certificate, April 2023
TESU - Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science, June 2024

Dallas College - Certificate in Private Investigation, Expected May 2025
*JFK School of Law (National University) - Juris Doctor (planned)

I think a lot of universities don't even allow (m)any transfer credits for certificates. TESU is the weird one here, but they don't have a paralegal or law certificate.

Ah ok. I'm looking to use my employer's education benefit next year is the thing. I'll have 4k or so to do something else. I'm looking at paralegal and criminal justice, although I could just do an AS in criminal justice pretty easily since I will already have a bachelor's and could transfer in every credit.

Are there any online associates in paralegal studies I could transfer all of the credits into?

Since you plan to use your employer tuition reimbursement, you could look at the paralegal school attached to Lawshelf. I know there is a requirement to take so many classes there, but if you do it over a couple years tuition reimbursements, that should be doable.

https://www.alu.edu/alu-admissions/transfer-credits/

They allow 0 transfer to their certificates, but up to 75% transfer to their Associate degrees. They accept ACE. They're $415/cr. plus fees. https://www.alu.edu/alu-admissions/affordable-tuition/

They have Associate degrees in both Paralegal Studies and Criminal Justice. https://www.alu.edu/academics/associate/

I think they're NA, though.

And I think a Bachelor's degree in CJ from UMPI would be cheaper than those Associate degrees.

The link for the Lawshelf related Bachelors of Business Administration. It is listed as about $10k but should be able to be split into 2 years reimbursement to knock most of that off.
https://lawshelf.com/bbaview

They do have an Associate of Paralegal Studies but I do not see what can be transferred in.

Cost wise I believe it would be better to look at some of the other options for a Criminal Justice degree. EU takes most transfers but several people like UMPI better.
